![]() ![]() They made a change to our reservation when we got there and gave us a different car and tables which ended up being back-to-back, so only four of us could see each other and had no idea what the other table of four were doing nor get pictures of whatever they were doing. Third is that when the reservations were made, we had side-by-side tables so that all eight of us could experience this together and see each other during the train ride, to take pictures, etc. That is something that could have been totally avoided and should have when the weather is a record low for the area! There's absolutely no reason why they had to have us get in lines outside of the tent for any length of time when it was that cold. By then everyone was chilled to the bone and the kids were frozen. The second noted incident was that instead of having all of us stay in the tent and walk directly out of the tent to the train, they had everyone go stand outside the tent, in the 6 degree frigid weather for all ages, and line up waiting for when they called "All Aboard!". It was the worst restroom facilities I have been to in all of St. It stunk and five stalls did not flush, all the toilets were backed up, and just a horrible representation for this venue with little kids especially. What I didn't expect is that the female restroom trailer would be so downright NASTY. You had to go back outdoors and into a standalone trailer that was around the side. Louis there's a good chance in the cold of winter.įirst is that the restrooms were out of the waiting tent area. There were three things that happened while we were waiting for the train that I think are totally unacceptable for a family attraction, that is running during the holiday season and in St. We dressed in our pajamas but definitely in layers underneath in order to ensure we were good to walk from the car to the venue and all wore the proper outerwear. Of no fault of this venue, our reservations fell on an evening that was very extreme weather and wind of 6 degrees. The 45 minute journey was not worth the $400.Įven as an adult, I was very much excited about the Polar Express experience with seven other family members of all ages from 5 to 88. You set the bar high last year so this years trip was a huge disappointment. This year they were only given to the kids. The Santa this year was more realistic but wasn’t very outgoing with the kids as was last years Santa. This years conductor was nice but we had a general conversation at the table while he punched our initials into the tickets. ![]() ![]() She made all types of Christmas tree and reindeer designs on the tickets. The conductor was so animated and mimicked Tom Hanks movie performance last year. The story telling had the book presenter interrupted by the conductor. This year it appeared to be kids going through the motions of just dumping stuff in the table. The story book reading was uninterrupted and engaging. They danced and sang to music while serving you your hot chocolate. Last year the staff appeared to be enthusiastic performers. This is an expensive experience and I was so disappointed. ![]() We took the same journey last year and the difference was night and day. ![]()
